Scrapbook Saturday | Orlando child & family photographer

Did you know that today is International Scrapbooking Day?  Well, it is!  I’m an avid digital scrapbooker.  In fact, scrapbooking is what led me to discover photography.  After I had my daughter, I wanted to document everything.  I soon discovered digital scrapbooking and it became not only a way for me to document my family’s memories but a way for me to have a creative outlet.  I LOVED it.  I would sit with my laptop after she went to bed and make page after page while watching a movie with the hubs (or just by myself after he fell asleep on the couch! haha)  It was my “me” time. :)  Eventually, I wanted to take better photos to add to my pages which led me to learn my camera inside and out and eventually led me to want to take photos for others.

Unfortunately, devoting so much time to photography (and just life in general with two kids now) has taken away from my scrapbooking time but I still try to squeeze it in there.  It’s important to me and I hope that years from now, my family will enjoy looking through my albums.  So, in honor of International Scrapbooking Day, I wanted to share a page I did with this photo:

This weekend is a great time to try out digital scrapbooking if you are interested!  There are lots of sales and freebies for iNSD.  The above page was made with a free template from The Lily Pad and a kit from Shawna Clingermann at Sweet Shoppe Designs.  Those are also two of my favorite stores to shop for digital goodies!  Pick some up and document your family’s everyday moments!
